Me and my Aloe Bar went along to try out a Strong by Zumba class with Jeanine Cathrein, who is an instructor local to me in Llandudno. I have known Jeanine for years, even before she became an instructor so it was really cool for me to be invited to check out her class. I have to say I really enjoyed Strong by Zumba, I wasn’t too sure what it would be like as personally Zumba is not my thing, it’s fun but I am not a fan of the music. However Strong by Zumba is completely different, it’s still taught to the music, but this style of music is strong beats and very powerful which the moves go so well with. It is taught in sections or quadrants as it’s known and they are all designed to push your fitness and build your strength which it really does. Also with it being in sections when you get that “oh no how much longer” thought in your head it a break appears. The time flew by and I definitely worked up a sweat and burnt some calories. Jeanine gave lots of options so whatever level of fitness you are you could push yourself. So my overall verdict on this class is “I loved it and would definitely attend again”, in fact I have been invited back in a months time, so am looking forward to that!! If you want to see a bit of what it’s like click on this link as I filmed a small section too.
